Public Relations of IAIN Parepare - Rector of IAIN Parepare, Prof. Dr. Hannani, M.Ag., attended the National Coordination Meeting (Rakernas) 2024 of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, held over 3 days (February 5th to 7th, 2024) in Semarang, Central Java. The event was attended by 290 participants from all units of the Ministry of Religious Affairs spreads in Indonesia.
The National Coordination Meeting (Rakernas) 2024 of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, themed "Transformation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs towards Indonesia Emas 2045," was directly initiated by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Yaqut Kholil Qoumas, along with other officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, on Monday (February 5th, 2024).
The National Coordination Meeting (Rakernas) 2024 holds significant strategic importance for two reasons, as stated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Nizar Ali. This year signifies the culmination of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024. Additionally, at the same time, the RPJMN 2020-2024 marks the culmination of the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2005-2025.
"Rakernas is an important event that will provide a platform to assess various accomplishments in 2023." According to Nizar in Jakarta, the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be reevaluating its targets for 2024, as well as the strategies associated with them (excerpt from the website www.kemenag.go.id).
Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Kholil Qoumas, in his welcoming address, asked the Ministry of Religious Affairs staff members to boost the implementation of the work program in 2024 by involving stakeholders.
"The involvement of the community is crucial to ensure that the implementation of programs is more effective, beneficial, and targeted," said Gus Men as he called.
He emphasized that the development of the religious sector is not solely the responsibility of the government but also of society. Gus Men provided an example regarding the improvement of the quality of religious and religious education. For instance, the Minister of Religious Affairs requested that administrators of Private Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTK) be invited to collaborate alongside their public counterparts in formulating strategic steps and programs to advance education.
Meanwhile, Hannani, Rector of IAIN Parepare, provided key remarks regarding the main programs of the Directorate of Islamic Higher Education (Diktis) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which are the Minister of Religious Affairs' policies for the year 2024, including:
1. Continuing all programs of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2023, including media syndication.
2. Increasing the Excellent Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions (20 PTKIN in 2024).
3. Rebranding State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN).
4. Piloting several Higher Education Institution campuses (5-10 campuses) in developing programs to understand the campus ecosystem to strengthen moderation and nationalism.
5. Collaborating with the Inspectorate General to strengthen the Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI) and provide assistance/supervision to Independent Higher Education Institutions (UMPTKIN).
6. Internationalization of State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (5 PTKIN entering the top 1,500 of the QS World University Rankings).
7. Completing the restructuring of study programs.
8. Completing the transformation of State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN).
9. Completing Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
10. Completing the Establishment of Independent Accreditation Body for Religious Higher Education Institutions (Lamgama).
11. Organizing and accrediting Cyber Islamic University Cirebon as a cyber college. (shr/Tin/MM)
